Homecoming Spirit Days: Homecoming Week is January 29th - February 2nd. The High School has invited us to participate in the spirit days. Please see the flyer below!

Attendance: Valley Park Elementary  is off to a great start in 2024! It is wonderful to have all of our students back in the classroom and learning!

As we get further into the school year, we would like to remind you of the importance of good attendance for all students. Every day a student is absent is a lost opportunity for learning. Too many absences not only can affect achievement for the absent student but also can disrupt learning for the entire class.

Attending school regularly helps children feel better about school and themselves. Start building this habit in preschool so they learn right away that going to school on time, every day is important. Good attendance will help children do well in high school, college and in their careers.

Parent Drop Off: This is a reminder that parents need to drop off their child at the main office after 8:15. Once 8:15 hits, the staff that are welcoming students go to their classrooms to begin seeing students and for security and safety reasons the doors are locked. So, if you are arriving after 8:15 to drop off your child please come to the main elementary office where your child will be checked in and sent to class to begin their day.

Cell Phone Policy: We wanted to remind parents and students of the cell phone policy at VPES.

Cell phones are permitted in the building with parent/guardian permission. Cell phones are to be silenced and kept in the student’s book bag during school hours. Students are not to bring iPods or electronic gaming devices to school without permission of the administration. The following consequences will be given should students who  violate the cell phone and/or electronics procedures:

  1. First Offense for students using cell phone: Teacher takes phone and keeps it until the end of the day. Students may take phone/device at dismissal.

  2. Second Offense: The cell phone/electronic device will be collected by the teacher, and the teacher will notify the parents of the second offense, Students may pick up their phone/device at dismissal.

  3. Third Offense: The cell phone/device will be taken to the office. The phone/device will be picked up from the office at the end of the day by the student, the parents will be notified, and the student will be assigned a consequence.

PTO Bingo Night: PTO is also hosting a Bingo Night on April 6th. The link to sign up for Bingo Night is: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C084BA8AF2EA2FFCF8-46195456-bingo
