The VP Arts Showcase is a special opportunity for all Valley Park High School students to experience and appreciate the creative talents of their peers. During Academic Lab, students were invited to enjoy performances by the VPHS Band and Choir and explore student projects from our fine and practical arts classes.
Choir students took the stage in the Elementary Gym, the Band will performed in the Field House. This offered students a chance to hear the hard work and heart our student musicians have poured into their pieces.
In addition to the performances, the Library was transformed into a gallery space featuring work from visual arts, woodworking, design, culinary arts and more. Students were able to browse the displays and vote on their favorite pieces.
Whether it’s through music, art, or hands-on design, the VP Arts Showcase highlights the importance of creativity, craftsmanship, and student voice across our campus. Don’t miss this chance to support the arts and celebrate the incredible talent at Valley Park High School!
Another chance to support the arts at VPSD is through our Spring Choir Concert. The Valley Park School District Spring Choir Concert was a joyful celebration of student talent and musical growth across all grade levels. The evening opened with the Harmony Hawks, our elementary choir directed by Mrs. Stephanie Shrum. Their performance kicked off the evening with high energy.
The program continued with powerful performances from the Middle School and High School Choruses, along with a bright set by the High School Show Choir, with a playful nod to the ‘90s, all under the direction of Ms. Allison Hungate Wood. From first notes to final bows, the concert showcased the dedication and passion of our student singers. It was a wonderful reminder of the role music plays in bringing our school community together.
