A big shoutout to Mrs. Krumm, our amazing VPSD Teacher Proud Tuesday honoree! Mrs. Krumm, one of our incredible VPHS Social Studies teachers, received so many heartfelt nominations.
“I nominated Mrs. Krumm for Teacher Proud Tuesday because this is my first year having her and she is welcoming. She makes sure that every student feels welcome and included. I feel I can go to her to ask a question anytime. “
“I am nominating Mrs. Krumm because she is a very dedicated teacher. Last year, when I was in her class, you could email her at any time of the day and she would always respond to her students, sacrificing whatever she was doing outside of school to help us whenever we needed it. She always made class exciting and engaging and applied what we were learning to real world scenarios happening in the world at the time. She is a very dedicated teacher, always making sure her students are as successful as possible. Thank you, Mrs. Krumm!”
“I had Mrs. Krumm for two classes last year, sociology and AP Gov. She was very willing to help me in both classes. I ended up getting a 5 on my AP exam and received my college credit and this wouldn't have been possible without Mrs. Krumm's willingness to help me with every single little assignment, notes, or practice to make sure I was prepared for the exam. “
“She was always willing to give me feedback on my assignments, vocab notecards, and practice work even if I emailed them to her after school hours, or just hours before class. She might be the best teacher I've had when it comes to actually showing they care about their student’s success, and it worked out pretty well for me and the rest of the class as we all got the college credit for our class."
"I am nominating Mrs. Krumm because whenever I had her as a teacher in AP government, she had confidence in us whenever we didn't, she constantly made sure we had access to resources we needed, and always made time for us. For example, in the beginning of the year my class had a lot of anxiety about the class and AP exam. She would constantly tell us that the class wasn't bad and that we'd be able to pass the AP test no problem. Even though we didn't believe it she still had confidence in her students that she barely knew.”
“One reason I think Mrs. Krumm deserves to be nominated is because before our midterm and AP exam she would send out so many resources for us to use and practice with. She would always be available to talk about any confusion we had in the class or even if we had a personal problem going on she would listen. Mrs. Krumm would answer emails surprisingly late and check our work whenever we asked her too. She sacrifices much of her time in order to make sure her students succeed, and I think all of us truly appreciate her as a teacher."
“I nominate Mrs. Krumm because she makes every student feel seen. She creates a connection with each student and gets to know them. I recently didn’t do well on a test in her class, but she understood how I felt and reassured me, making me feel supported and not alone. Mrs. Krumm makes sure that we see a positive result and strives for us to succeed. She always has an upbeat attitude and makes class fun. She also creates an engaging learning environment for all the students.”
“I am nominating this teacher because she has always been supportive of me. Recently, I got a 70 on my gov test. Instead of dismissing me, she supported me and built me up. She started saying how I can only go up from here and she will work with me to get better and studying ideas. This is why I am nominating her.”
“I am nominating this teacher because she goes above and beyond for her students and truly cares about their education. Mrs. Krumm is willing to sacrifice her personal time to ensure her students understand the material which means a lot. She hosts a practice AP government test during the weekend, answers emails constantly, gives plenty of resources or practice work, and will grade anything you give her. You can tell Mrs. Krumm is passionate about what she teaches, and this passion helps support and push her students.”
“Within the first week or two of school. Mrs. Krumm has stuck out to me as an excellent teacher. When we had our first test on Friday of the first week of school, she was very supportive and encouraged me to study. Because of that, I was able to get a 100% on that test. Mrs. Krumm within the first week or so of school has shown excellent characteristics of being a good teacher. She is nice, respectful and knowns how to get stuff down while still allowing the class to have fun while even having fun with us. Just from the first week of school I can tell she will be a great teacher for the rest of the school year and because of this I am nominating Mrs. Krumm.”
Thank you, Mrs. Krumm, for being such a positive role model and making a difference in our students' lives every single day. Teacher Proud Tuesday is a statewide celebration where Missouri school districts spotlight educators who inspire and uplift our students. #TPT #VPPride
